We’re creating a brand new website during 2014 that will eventually replace our current one, bringing some fantastic new online opportunities for you, our customers.
Looking for our current website? Visit https://www.barnsley.gov.uk (new window).
We recognise that many of you want to communicate with us online, whether it’s to report a problem, pay a bill, apply for a service or just get some new information.
Our website therefore needs to be as effective, accessible and usable as possible.
To create this new site we’ll be redesigning and rebuilding the 50 sections that make up our current website and publishing them here, improving each of them as we go.
Throughout the process we will be keeping our new vision in mind:
Our website will give people quick and easy access to our services and clear information about life and work in Barnsley
As each section is worked on, there will be an opportunity for you to have your say on the improvements that should be made and whether or not the changes work for you once they have been.
Please consider joining our testing group to get involved in shaping our website for the future. We’ll contact you when we have something new to show you. Also, keep an eye and comment on our blog that we update as often as possible.
You can see the sections that we are working on or have already completed under the title “Sections” on this page.
If you would like to give us any feedback (new window) on these we’d really love to hear from you.
We intend this improvement process to be as open and transparent as possible. Our website must work for you and so your feedback is extremely valuable to us. Keep in touch.
